Stroud Road Vets was created to ensure your pets have the best veterinary service possible. We are an experienced team who have worked together for many years and are able to provide outstanding all-round care for your pets.
We have created a small surgery with the most up to date equipment for diagnostics, medicine and surgery. We are independent so it is in our best interest to do the best for our clients, with advice and care you can trust.
Stroud Road Veterinary Surgery has been developed by Michael Stevenson BSC BVM&S MRCVS and his team to provide the pet owners of Gloucester an alternative to the large corporate and multi vet practices which dominate the local veterinary market. We want to provide that personal service that is lost in a large corporation, to ensure that both you and your pets feel valued in our practice.
Michael was a partner for 20 yrs in Aspinall Auld and Stevenson . He provided much of the surgical and diagnostic service for the practice and established a reputation for honesty of opinion and surgical skill. In Stroud Road Vets, our mission is to provide the best veterinary services in Gloucester for pet owners who are looking for quality personal service delivered locally and in a timely manner.
Hours: Monday to Friday: 9.00am - 7.00pm | Saturday: 9.00am - Midday
Consulting times: 9.00am - 10.30am and 5.00pm - 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am - 11.30am Saturday
In case of severe emergency please phone our number and you will be diverted to Chelvets Out of Hours Service. They will give emergency care to any of our clients as necessary.

For less urgent cases or queries, you may contact us via email and we can give next day advice as to whether your pet needs to be seen.
All our inpatients will be taken care of when possible by our own staff with frequent checks as required. If an animal needs critical care we may advise transferring that patient to Chelvets for round the clock nursing.
High quality veterinary medicine and surgery can be expensive so we strongly recommend you insure your pet with a reputable insurance company. This takes away the worry about vet bills if your pet becomes ill or injured. At Stroud Road Vets, we process all insurance claims free of charge.
We stock a wide range of food for your pets including an extensive range of prescription foods for particular medical conditions. We stock Virbac foods but can order any make desired.
We like to support young people who have a genuine interest in veterinary work. If you would like to apply for work experience, whether that be a block or to come for a few hours on a weekly basis. Please send in your CV with a hand written covering letter telling us about yourself, why you want to do your experience with Stroud Road Vets and outline your interest in veterinary medicine.
